Love that circle which is visible around the centre.

Love the almost invisible sashing in these designs, with very visible sashing becoming a feature of the overall layout.

I love playing ‘hide and Seek’ with sashing … to be able to make up designs like the one above just add sashing to blocks as usual, except that sometimes you use the background fabric of the blocks, but not all of them!

Love it, despite the dirty looking colours. Love the strip borders too.

However, I have found that what I see on my screen is different to what is printed out by my printer … and neither of them look like what appears on the blog.

I have spent vey little time playing with quilt designs in the last week or two, but I have been learning to use one of Electric Quilts features … being able to import pictures and trace them onto a block, except that I am tracing patterns for rag dolls I used to ...

Love the first design, inparticular, I love the sashing … where it is visible.

Where it doesn’t show up I have coloured the sashing strips with the background fabric.

Love the first one today!

These designs have narrow sashing, but not always in a contrast colour. In the first one there is a slight contrast around the corner blocks, the one above has sashing in the background colour.

You can also have different colour fabric backgrounds for some blocks.
